  04 janvier 2009 ( #1989, #amiga, #amstrad, #arcade, #atari, #c64, #firebird, #irem, #letter m, #mr heli, #pc-engine, #robot, #spectrum )

Since few months, I think of opening such blog to share a little part of my passion for retro gaming. This ad is why I have done it today! I don't really know what is appealing inside it, perhaps the cute and quite simple drawing, the choice of the colors?...

I have magnificent memories of this advertising! An elegant choice of colors, using an analogous color scheme of warm tones (yellow, orange) and an almost complementary analogous color scheme around the blue color (purple to light blue), bringing a high...

  02 septembre 2009 ( #1990, #amiga, #atari st, #c64, #dermot power, #dos, #letter s, #nes, #overlord, #probe, #supremacy, #virgin )

Que votre volonté soit faite. Supremacy: your will be done. On commence en fanfare avec une imparable connotation religieuse ("your will be done" = que votre volonté soit faite) et beaucoup de puissance ("supremacy").Au premier plan, un personnage droit,...

• Kult

  17 mai 2009 ( #1989, #amiga, #atari st, #caza, #dos, #ere, #exxos, #infogrames, #kult, #letter k, #philippe cazaumayou )

  05 janvier 2009 ( #1990, #amiga, #amstrad, #atari, #chevalier, #dragon, #grabuge, #knight force, #letter k, #medieval, #titus )

This game is a typical representative of another goal of this blog: NOT speaking about the same games, again and again. Because advertising artwork can be very different than the in-game quality! In this case, all reviews seem to agree on a poor, medium...

  11 janvier 2009 ( #1989, #amiga, #amstrad cpc, #atari st, #bloodwych, #c64, #chris achilleos, #dos, #image works, #letter b, #zx spectrum )

This advertising is a masterpiece, created by a well known artist, Chris Achilleos off.The title and Chris' drawing are awesome, but the remaining of the advertising seems poor in comparison, with nearly one half taken by a quite ugly text in red and...

• Extase

  07 janvier 2009 ( #1991, #amiga, #atari, #cryo, #dos, #extase, #letter e, #robot, #virgin )

The first part is quite "organic", a crossover between a baby and an older woman, almost a today's 3D ultrasound. We can say that the goal is achieved here, because this image and the associated feelings are themselves a good description of the game:...
